Vanilla Beans / RECIPE F OR T HE MONTH OF FEBRUARY!

All baking enthusiasts must have the "real"

thing in their kitchen cabinet. You'll love them.... And you can make your own "real" vanilla extract too. Just purchase 8 TO 10 beans and put them in a container of vodka for six weeks. Keep them in a cool/dry place.Top must be on tight.(Don't buy expensive vodka.) Once your liquid has been used, you can add more vodka. The container must go through that six week period to get that intense flavor. Note: You can also use the seeds inside each vanilla bean. Call or e-mail for a price check.STILL AVAILABLE !!

VANILLA BEANS ARE AVAILABLE !!!I FEEL THAT THE BEST ARE THE BEANS FROM - "MADAGASCAR" !DON'T MISS THE CHANCE OF A CULINARY LIFE TIME... THESE GREAT VANILLA BEANS ARE HERE.........THEY'VE BEEN HERE !!NOT SO POPULAR ANYMORE !!

WHY NOT PICK UP "WEDNESDAY'S" COPY OF "THE NEW YORK TIMES". THERE'S ALWAYS A LOT OF INTERESTING INFORMATION IN THE "DINING" SECTION........IT CAN BE ANY WEDNESDAY....OR "GO ON LINE"............

LOOK FOR: THE NEW FOOD COURT ON THE LOWER LEVEL AT THE "PLAZA" HOTEL It's been written in the Times. Some restaurants like the "Russian Tea Room" -- had closed and has reopened..Also - "Tavern on the Green" has reopened as well !!INTERESTING THAT MANY NEW RESTAURANTS ARE OPENING AND BECOMING "CREATIVE".Many restaurants are mixing and adding many flavors to entrees and other menu selections.

NEWS FLASH - - - CAFE DES ARTISTS HAS REOPENED - MAY 9, 2011 New Name:

The Leopard at Cafe des Artists

ALSO - TRY "EATLY" AROUND 23RD. AND 5TH IN NYC. VERY INTERESTING !!!

I'm not sure if the present state of the economy, is really effecting the "restaurant scene" in NYC. I've been to a few "upscale" restaurants recently, and they're somewhat busy. Went to the "Russian Tea Room" a while ago.....A little disappointed !!

I think restaurants like:"Per Sey", "The Modern", "11 Madison Park", "Granmercy Tavern" and doing just fine !!
